Vera's Lunar Copper Bracelet

There's a quietness to this piece I've never quite been able to explain. The light catches the cut-outs differently at every hour always shifting, like something you'd notice about the sky without meaning to.

I cut each leaf opening by hand along the band, one at a time. It's a piercing technique that takes patience and a tool I've had since the early nineties.

Copper has been worn close to the skin for thousands of years. The people who wear it daily tend to say the same things in different words, in different decades.
